What is ERDWN?
It is a network for people who work in areas related to supporting disabled people living in East Renfrewshire.
What is its aim?
Its aim is to provide a forum for organisations to:
- share good practice.
- establish working links.
- develop partnerships.
What does it do?
It holds regular meetings on relevant topics:
- Benefits and the impact of change.
- Anti-discrimination legislation.
- Opportunities for disabled people - jobs, learning, leisure.
- Service provision in East Renfrewshire.
- Information and communication support.
It posts news items on current issues on its website (www.erdwn.org.uk) and on Twitter (ERDWN).
Who is it for?
- Paid staff and volunteers in local and national voluntary organisations.
- Public Sector Staff - Local Authority, Health Board, Emergency Services.
- Volunteers in local community groups.
- Any other workers with a remit to promote the inclusion of disabled people in the community.
